The thrill of the hunt…
Vintage dinnerware and other wonderful things are available online, as well as in thrift stores, estate and tag sales, pretty much anywhere. If you have the time and energy, you can enjoy looking. You will see things that are hard to find, as well as special gems to bring home.
In the pair of audios below, I spoke with Mitzi Swisher of Vintage + Goodness and The Vintage List, an online colleague who also loves vintage. We come at this from different angles, as I am the “old hen” and she’s the “spring chicken” — I being vintage myself, and she being a lot younger!
Still…when you love it…you love it…

I have just discovered an entire set of dishes with serving pieces, the back reads MEADOW, than Japan. I see the dishes in your header, what are they? Who makes them? How much are they worth?

Hello!
An artist created this banner for me, so I never had this particular plate myself. I believe you’re referring to the one behind the word Dishie.
There are many Meadow patterns listed on Replacements dot com, made by a number of manufacturers. You may be able to match it there. They also have an email matching request service, if you don’t find it. (They will want you to send photos.)
The site will also give you an idea of retail value.
Good luck…sounds like a beautiful find!
